The world is good, the grass is green, the roses are red, and apparently humans are basically good. That is one way of looking at things, it is easier said than done though. Being a cynic is just so much easier…thinking humans are basically evil, that the grass is greener on the other side, realizing roses are to smelly to be pretty, and that the world is really a dark place. HA! It’s just easier to see the negative than to ever see the positive. If someone is rude to you, you will remember it one-hundred times over before you ever consider the thousands of nicer things they have also done. It has been a while since my last post, and it has come to my attention that people tend to be more negative, even in the face of a positive situation. It is easier to frown than to smile, to cry than to laugh, and to be angry than to turn the other cheek. To put it bluntly people look for the easy way out, which means being a cynic. It’s time people look at things from a newer perspective for a while. look at the glass as all the way full, even if half of it is just air! See the fact that your toast isn’t burnt, it’s just visible flavor. And if someone pisses in your Cheerios, get a new bowl! I have been jaded for a while, but there wasn’t really a point to it, it didn’t get anything done, and it really didn’t make me feel any better about my life, or the lives of those around me. I changed that, I see the world brighter, and the people happier. No, this is not some childish naivety, this is a new outlook for a more joyful and fulfilling life. Why not give it a try?
